This chest rig is extremely reflective, but does not emit light itself.

It's a mix between soft and hard. It's not a hard shell, but holds its shape better than normal floppy soft chest rigs.

In order to keep it lightweight and comfortable, it does not have protection. The entire inner surface is covered by comfortable foam and air mesh.

Short answer: It is water resistant. This means your stuff will stay dry during light showers.
Detailed answer: Waterproofness is a scale. At one end you have containers you can take scuba diving. At the other you have 'your shit will get wet'.
Generally, the more waterproof something is, the harder it is to open and close and the less user-friendly it is.
I didn't want to create something that is so difficult to open that you wouldn't want to use it.
Therefore, I've tried to balance user-friendliness with water-resistance.
The entire rig surface is covered by reflective material that is water-resistant; the zips are YKK AquaGuard; and the seams are constructed to ensure maximum water resistance.
This all means that this rig is water-resistant in light showers. However, if you ride through a storm, or in light rain for a long time, the contents inside may get wet.

It will fit fine if your jacket has a small hump. However, if your jacket or race suit has a moto GP sized hump, the rig will not fit.

So i started off with the gloves and key chain, the gloves are so comfortable and super easy to get on/off. The key chains surprised me how big they actually were and they give you an extra option to hold your keys if you don't like the metal loop. Then i recently ordered a hoodie, foldable back pack, another key chain and the chest rig and i am hooked!! Everything i have ordered came super quick and was well packaged. So if your on the fence about placing an order just do it and thank me later because you see the prices and may think thats expensive but once you get your product in hand you will be like oh yeah why did i wait so long to order. already getting my next order together i suggest you do the same.

I thought about this purchase for a while and decided this was going to happen. I bought it and when it arrived I took it out of the bag and I was impressed not only with the quality of how it is made but I can literally put everything I need in it when i am on my bike. Doy or Night.

Easily my favorite piece of riding gear I’ve purchased. Very comfortable, simple to adjust, excellent internal dividers and loops for storage, great quality seams, and buckles that are magnetic latch and easy to work with gloves. Zipper seam has weather seal on it so I’m thinking it should keep things mostly dry in the rain. If you ride at night at all, it’s a must have. I had assumed the product pics had been enhanced, but it’s legitimately as reflective and bright as it looks in those as it is irl. 10/10 would buy over and over and over! :)

This is seriously one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's super comfortable, extremely durable, and has a ton of storage without being annoyingly bulky. First ride was a 200 mile rain ride and I completely forgot it was on. The strap system is seamless and well designed. And the reflection is AMAZING. A must have for every rider who wants to be visible.

Okay, got this right after I got my bike, I feel seen, I can carry all my stuff, and it’s really comfortable. This is form and function, all rolled into one. I don’t know that there’s anything else I need from this. Bonus, as a bigger human, this thing adjusts to fit me just right!

I've had this chest rig for 4 months now, and ridden in all weather conditions & times of day.
During the day, it's nice to have a white panel to see, and if the sun also shines on it, it's bright AF.
Where it shines is at night. I had a fellow motorcycle instructor follow me and she was shocked how bright and reflective it is when her headlights hit it; it really lights up. It's a brilliant alternative to hi-viz vests if those aren't your thing.
In the rain, including torrential downpours at (above) freeway speeds, I've not had any water intrusion. I still wouldn't keep any paper inside if it's not in a baggie, just in case since the zippers aren't technically waterproof.
My one small complaint is the elastic loops in the pouch. They are all uniform size and rather high on the inside panel. They are the perfect size for small things like chapstick, but since they're so high relative to the bottom of the pouch, they just slip out. Having them down further would be nice for that, and maybe a couple different sizes (all same size loops).
Overall this chest rig is 100% worth the investment and a fantastic alternative to hi-viz vests. Plus I get told I look like a cop every time I dismount any of my bikes with it on. It also conveniently gives you a place to stick your hands that's more comfortable than in pockets, if your gear even has them.

Good space for few visor cleaning cloths an earplugs in the front. Main Storafe have much space for all paperstuff what you need from you and the Bike (Welcome to Germany) an can put your wallet, 360 cam or Action cam, few keys or other stuff.
Better to wear as a Leg Bag and you will be seen much better in the dark reflective.
